Leora F. Ardizzone is of Counsel to Ruskin Moscou Faltischek, where she is a member of the firm's Health Law Regulatory and Transactional Departments and is a member of the Healthcare Professionals and Medical Device practice groups. She is also a member of the firm’s municipal finance and bond group.

Ms. Ardizzone was previously associated with Ruskin Moscou Faltischek from 1998 - 2008 and was a member of the firm's health care practice, representing hospitals, HMOs, nursing homes, home care agencies, MSOs, multi-specialty physician groups and physicians in a wide variety of transactional and regulatory matters.

Prior to returning to Ruskin Moscou Faltischek, she served as Senior Associate Counsel to the Catholic Health System of Long Island, made up of six hospitals, three nursing homes, a hospice and home care agency. In her capacity as Senior Associate Counsel, Ms. Ardizzone was responsible for advising senior management on legal and regulatory matters affecting matters ranging from tax and finance, Electronic Health Records to physician integration, to name a few.

The focus of Ms. Ardizzone’s practice is health care, and she represents hospitals, physician practice groups, practice management companies and other entities providing ancillary services to the health care industry. Ms. Ardizzone handles a wide variety of business and transactional matters and has successfully negotiated complex transactions with multiple parties and requiring governmental consent. She also advises clients in the formation or dissolution of professional entities and in financing arrangements for equipment, construction or lines of credit. In addition, Ms. Ardizzone counsels physicians and other health care providers in connection with federal and state regulatory issues that affect their businesses, and has assisted in a number of criminal investigations related to health care fraud.

In her capacity in the municipal finance and bond group, Ms. Ardizzone is instrumental in the representation of a number of municipalities in their issuance of millions of dollars of general obligation bonds, and has acted as borrower’s counsel for health care providers and other not for profit corporations in certain IDA financings. When Ms. Ardizzone first joined the firm, she was a member of the Financial Services Department where she functioned primarily as a transactional attorney. Prior to joining Ruskin Moscou Faltischek, Ms. Ardizzone had extensive litigation experience, representing a variety of clientele in commercial matters.
