David R. Schoenhaar is a senior associate at Ruskin Moscou Faltischek where he is a member of the firm’s Trust & Estates Department and Estate Litigation Practice Group.
Mr. Schoenhaar's areas of concentration consist of estate planning and trust and estate litigation. In the area of estate planning, he has expertise in preparing wills and trusts for high net worth individuals that integrate asset protection, lifetime gifting strategies, and business succession planning. For litigation, he has advocated successfully for clients in contested accounting matters, discovery proceedings, kinship hearings, and other complex disputes between beneficiaries and fiduciaries. Mr. Schoenhaar also practices in the area of trust and estate administration.
Mr. Schoenhaar came to Ruskin Moscou Faltischek with extensive client experience that he acquired during his eight year consulting career at Accenture, one of the world’s largest global management and technology consulting firms. At Accenture, Mr. Schoenhaar managed large client teams responsible for implementing multi-million dollar cost reduction initiatives.
Recognizing his desire to maintain a client-focused career in a legal setting, Mr. Schoenhaar received his Juris Doctor at Touro Law Center in 2007, at which time he started his legal career in Trust & Estates. Mr. Schoenhaar is a member of and lecturer for the Trusts and Estates Law Section of New York State Bar Association, a frequent contributor to the LexisNexis Estate Planning & Probate Blog and a co-author with the Hon. C. Raymond Radigan of trust and estates publications for the New York Law Journal.
